Nov. 16

An officer conducted follow-up on a previous call on Cedar at 7:25 a.m.

A vehicle was reported stolen in the 800 block of North Boyer at 7:34 a.m. The call was canceled prior to the officer’s arrival.

An attempt-to-locate was broadcast for an Oregon man who was due to arrive in Sandpoint via train but did not at 9:48 a.m.

An attempt-to-locate was broadcast at 10:28 a.m. for failed to turn up at a job site on Autumn Lane but didn’t. The man was reached by phone and was fine.

An officer assisted a citizen who locked his keys inside his vehicle on North Third at 10:25 a.m.

A 17-year-old Sandpoint male was arrested for burglary after taking money from several vehicles in the 400 block of South Division at 10:27 a.m. He was also charged with malicious injury to property in connection with a building that was vandalized on an earlier occasion.

An officer attempted to locate a distraught male in the 400 block of Sandpoint Avenue at 11:38 a.m. The subject was not located.

A Sandpoint resident asked to speak with the sheriff at 12:30 p.m.

An officer responded to a report of a train blocking an at-grade crossing at Boyer and Baldy at 1:25 p.m. The locomotive was gone upon the officer’s arrival.

An officer conducted a citizen assist in the 400 block of North Second at 1:35 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of unlawful entry in the 900 block of Jefferson at 2:40 p.m. The officer advised the citizen to contact an attorney to settle an ownership dispute.

Extra patrol was requested on Olive Avenue at 4:11 p.m.

A debit card was found in the 1100 block of Michigan at 4:51 p.m.

An officer located a motorist involved in a hit-and-run collision in the 1900 block of Ontario at 5:37 p.m.

Austin C. Jackson, 18, of Sandpoint, was cited at Fir and Boyer at 9:47 p.m. for failing to purchase a driver’s license.

An officer attempted to locate a vehicle that was being driven with its alarm blaring in the 1100 block of Michigan at 10:09 p.m.

Officers warned two males sleeping inside a vehicle within city limits at 2:50 a.m.
