Chamber, D.A. Davidson hosting economic forum

SANDPOINT ­— D.A. Davidson is partnering with the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce to present its 9th annual economic forum. This year’s event, set for Thursday, Oct. 12, features Mike Smith, a senior analyst with Russell Investments in Seattle.

The economic forum has explored a variety of topics over the past few years, including health care, education, banking and manufacturing. This year’s presentation will focus on the domestic and international economy and markets. Mike Smith, a principal author of the Russell Quarterly Economic and Market Review, will present an overview of the economy and markets and then open the floor to questions. Smith has been with Russell Investments for over 20 years and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seattle Pacific University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

D.A. Davidson, headquartered in Great Falls, Mont., and with offices in over 25 states, focuses on providing wealth management services to individuals and small businesses. The company, started in 1935, has a strong commitment to the communities in which it has offices and its financial advisors and associates volunteer their time and resources to a myriad of non-profits and community projects.
