I live on a Sandpoint city street that just received an upgrade. Those of us on my block got a new curb, a new driveway entrance, and a freshly paved street. The street has been in bad shape for a long time, so this is a letter of thanks.

First, I want to send thanks to all those involved in making the decision to allocate funds and initiate the work. I’m not sure who you are exactly, but I extend my gratitude. Living through the five-week process was challenging, but it was certainly worth it.

Next, I want to thank of the workers who made it happen. They were fantastic! My sincere thanks go to Lippert Excavation and Pipeline, Reader Concrete Construction, Interstate Concrete and Asphalt, and the Sandpoint city employees. They couldn’t have bee more courteous and proficient. Written notice enabled us to continually be aware of what was to come at each step. They are obviously highly organized and skilled. I appreciate all their work so much.

I’ve lived in Sandpoint 39 years, so I recognize these companies as local. That makes the connection, acknowledgment and appreciation even more special.
