UMC welcomes Tudor as interim pastor

| October 20, 2017 1:00 AM

The Sandpoint United Methodist Church is pleased to welcome Brenda Tudor as interim pastor through June 30, 2018. An ordained Methodist minister, Tudor’s life has included many geographical moves including California, Hawaii, Lousiana, Massachusetts, and Washington. She began her time as interim pastor on Oct. 15.

“I’m excited to begin this journey with the people of Sandpoint UMC,” Tudor said. “I’ve had my share of time as a newcomer, a stranger and an outsider. In our time together, I hope to become a friend and part of the family, always representing United Methodist values and practices which identify the church in the community.”

Pastor Brent Dehlbom who has served both the Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry Methodist Churches concluded his pastoral ministry in Sandpoint on Sept. 24. He will be concluding his ministry in Bonners Ferry in the near future when he and his family will relocate to another area of the country.

He remains passionate about his Christianity and reminds us to love first, love always. The Sandpoint church has been greatly blessed by Dehlbom’s ministry.

The pulpit in Sandpoint has been filled throughout October by retired pastors.

The community is cordially invited to join us in worship. Services are currently held at 8:45 a.m. but will move to 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 5. Children’s church is held each Sunday and a fellowship hour follows morning worship. There is also an adult class led by Paul Graves. Please call the church office at 208-263-4232 if you need additional information or go online to umcsandpoint.org.
