I can hardly wait when it is 20-30 degrees waiting on Fifth Avenue as a pedestrian and cars will get the green before a pedestrian AND vehicle drivers don’t know the difference between a green arrow, yellow arrow and flashing arrows. Any and either way, pedestrians have the right-of-way.
Take a clue from Minneapolis. When a pedestrian hits the walk button they get to walk. No pretend “close doors” elevator button. Otherwise, the walking town is false advertising and Sandpoint is becoming a “wanna be” city.
