Anyone interested in trapping wolves in Idaho must pass a wolf trapping certification program offered by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

Classes include on-site demonstrations and cover topics including wolf biology and management, wolf behavior, trapping and snaring techniques, harvest reporting requirements and proper care of the animal after harvest.

Pre-registration is required and anyone interested can register online at the Fish and Game website at idfg.idaho.gov, or by contacting the IDFG office at208-769-1414.

Classes cost $8 per student. There is an additional fee for online registration.
