SANDPOINT — It is not too late to register for the second Boobs ‘n Beer 5K Fun Run and Oktoberfest set to take place this Sunday, Oct. 1.

Combining a 5K on the Sand Creek Trail and a Sandpoint family-friendly Oktoberfest Beer Garden at MickDuff’s Beer Hall, this event will raise funds for Celebrate Life and Community Cancer Services.

This year, 7B Women is partnering with MickDuff’s Brewing Company to bring racers an even better and bigger event.

The fun begins with a 5k fun run on the Sand Creek Trail at 11 a.m. While not required, costumes are highly encouraged. Celebrate breast cancer awareness month by sporting head-to-toe pink or embrace the Oktoberfest theme and break out the lederhosen.

After the race, people of all ages will head over to MickDuff’s Beer Hall for Oktoberfest. For those 21 and older, your race registration includes a beer, and a portion of all beers sold goes back to the cause. Grab lunch from one of the food trucks on site. This year the event will include a Kids’ Zone, sponsored by Mountain West Bank, with face painting and bounce houses.

Idaho Pour Authority is sponsoring a raffle for your chance to win an adult season pass to Schweitzer. With the mountain already receiving its first snowfall of the year, it is an opportunity you will want to take advantage of. Raffle tickets are available online at 7BWomen.com and also at Idaho Pour Authority.

Online registration at 7BWomen.com closes at end of day on Saturday, however after Friday at 5 p.m., the price will increase to $50 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. You can also register, or if you are already registered pick up your shirt, at MickDuff’s Beer Hall on Saturday from 3-6 p.m. and on Sunday from 9-10:30 a.m. at City Beach.
