Nora Lee Dunton, 68

Nora Lee Dunton, 68, passed away on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho surrounded by her family.

A visitation and vigil will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Dennis C. Day officiating. Burial will follow at the Westmond Cemetery.

Nora was born on July 20, 1949, in Petaluma, Calif., to Henry and Rafael Ramacciotti. She graduated from Petaluma High School in the class of 1967. Nora married Robert Dunton on June 10, 1972 in Reno, Nev. They made their home in Petaluma and raised their five children.

The family moved to Sandpoint in 1988. Nora worked as a certified nursing assistant at Valley Vista Care Center for 25 years, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, reading, needle work, and she especially enjoyed her family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dunton of Hope, Idaho; four sons, Manuel Azevedo of Coeur d’Alene, Mike Dunton of Baton Rouge, La., Marcus (Gina) Dunton of Sandpoint, and Joey (Heather) Dunton of Pasco, Wash.; a daughter, Katherine Peters of Hope; and eight grandchildren, Sophia, Lewis, Tyler, Julia, Haley, Mackenzie, Annabell, and Lucas.
