Wylie 'Bud' Walker

| January 12, 2018 12:00 AM

It is with very sad hearts that we announce that Wylie “Bud” Walker, 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, passed away at home on Dec. 16, 2017, with his loving wife by his side.

Bud was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., on March 8,1933. When he was quite young, his parents moved to Riverside, Calif., where he spent his youth.

Bud had a love of fast cars, motorcycles and big trucks. From the time he could barely talk he loved to watch those big rigs go by. Later, he spent many years driving trucks, working in the drywall trade and helping to raise four children by his first wife in Southern California.

In the early 1970s, he moved to Dublin, Calif. It was there that he met and married his loving wife and friend and together they completed the raising of her four children. In 1990, when Bud was ready to retire he and his wife moved to Sand-point, Idaho, where he enjoyed God’s magnificent creations. For many years if you wanted to find him and his wife you would have to reach them on their marine radio as they were fishing on Lake Pend Oreille.

Bud’s main fondness in life was his ministry and his love for his creator. He enjoyed talking with everyone about the hope that the Bible holds out for the future. On any day of the week he may have knocked at your door to share something he learned from the Bible.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; and children, Mark, Rebecca, Barry, Eric, Scott and Michelle. Bud will be missed by all who knew him.
