NOTICE OF GRANT REQUEST PROPOSAL USDA FOREST SERVICE - NORTHERN REGION IDAHO PANHANDLE NATIONAL FORESTS The Idaho Panhandle National Forests is in the process of applying for grant funds through the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation Grant Programs. The proposed projects are located on the Sandpoint and Priest Lake Ranger Districts. The grant proposals are as follows: Recreational Trails Program (RTP) Sandpoint: Trail Rehabilitation on 65 miles of non-motorized and motorized trails. Removing hazardous trees, leaners and windfalls. Recreation Trails Program (RTP) Sandpoint: Cut back windfalls, improve tread and cut brush on 20 miles of trails in the Recommended Scotchman Peaks Wilderness area. Motorbike Fund (MBR) Sandpoint: N Gold Creek Trail 111 - construct puncheon and repair small bridges. Recreational Trails Program (RTP) Priest Lake: Navigation Trail 291 and Upper Priest Lake Trail 302 - repair and replace drainage structures, and construct erosion control structures. Recreational Trails Program (RTP) Priest Lake: Nordic Trails - purchase grooming equipment to maintain Hanna Flats and other trails in the cross-country ski trail system in partnership with Priest Lake Nordic Ski Club.
