Wampus Cats fall to Tigers in league tilt

MULLAN — Sophomore Kobe Banks tallie 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals, and Cameron Garcia 17 points and two steals, but it wasn’t enough as Clark Fork lost 64-54 to Mullan on Thursday night in North Star League boys basketball at the Mullan Pavilion.

The Wampus Cats (1-7, 1-4 NSL) got hot in the third quarter, outscoring the Tigers 22-16 to tie the game heading into the fourth quarter, before Mullan closed things out.

Wade Stevens posted 12 rebounds and four steals, T.J. Henderson 11 points, five boards and two steals, Bryant Moore seven points, five rebounds and two steals and Josh Constantin two points and four rebounds in the loss.

Seth Dechand led Mullan with 22 points.

Clark Fork hosts Wallace on Saturday.

n Stevens nabs 12 steals in Wampus Cat win

WALLACE — Brooke Stevens posted a rare double-double, combining 14 points with 12 steals to lead Clark Fork to a 44-33 win over Wallace in North Star League girls basketball Wednesday night in Wallace.

Kaylee Banks add seven points and six rebounds, Tessa Sutton seven and four and Ali Sutton three and two for the Wampus Cats (5-8, 2-3 NSL) in the road win. Sara Hathaway added two points and two steals, and Ellie Lambert three rebounds for the Cats.

Cattie Sheppard led the Minders with 11 points in defeat.
