Edmond Dale Langlois, 84

Edmond Dale Langlois, 84, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at the Lakeview Funeral Home with services to begin at 1:30 p.m. with Father Dennis C. Day of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiating. Military honors and burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, Wash.

Dale was born on Nov. 20, 1933 in Spokane, Wash., to Milton F. and Leona (Kuch) Langlois. He attended Gonzaga High School and graduated in 1952. He then attended Spokane Community College, before serving in the United States Army.

Dale married Jaqueline Sandall on Aug. 10, 1963, in Spokane. He worked for Pacific NW Bell in Lewiston, Idaho, retiring from Quest in 1988. In 1993, he moved to Sandpoint.

Dale is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he served at the soup kitchen for 20 years. His hobby was restoring classic car radios, specifically the “Wonder Bar.” He was especially fond of 1955-1957 Chevys. Over the years he belonged to several car clubs including, Finest Fifties Chevy Club, Crankers Club, and the Inland Northwest Car Club.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Langlois of Sandpoint; two sons, Richard Langlois of Walla Walla, Wash., and Stephan (Connie) Langlois of Castro Valley, Calif.; one daughter, Pamala (Paul) Kilfoyle of Centennial, Colo.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Milton J. Langlois of Spokane; and one niece, Ann Langlois of Spokane.

Memorial donations may be made to the Panhandle Animal Shelter, 870 Kootenai Cutoff Road, Ponderay, ID 83852.
