CLARK FORK — Brooke Stevens posted a double-double with 22 points and 10 steals, leading Clark Fork to a 54-25 drubbing of Wallace in North Star League girls basketball Thursday night at Clark Fork High School.

Tessa Sutton added seven points, five rebounds and two blocks, and Ellie Kiebert scored nine for the Wampus Cats (7-8, 4-3 NSL), who continue to hang their hat on defense.

“They’re just doing everything I ask. You have to have kids that are willing to be coached,” said Cats head coach Jordan Adams, lauding the unselfish play of Stevens. “She’s awesome, has always been a team player. The rest of the team is stepping up and allowing her to do great things. Our 1-3-1 press is good enough to let Brooke go do what she’s good at.”

Wallace only had two offensive rebounds, which Adams says the team prides itself on not allowing.

Clark Fork is at Kootenai on Saturday.
