Dillon receives Rotary scholarship

Innovia Foundation recently awarded $257,413 in scholarships to 116 students, including a Priest River scholar, throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho for the 2019-2020 school year.

Receiving a scholarship is Travis Dillon, who received a Newport-Priest River Rotary Scholarship.

Dillon is a mathematics major at Lawrence University.

“With this scholarship, I will be able to travel to Budapest in the fall to attend the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics programs, one of the most prestigious mathematics study abroad programs in the world,” Dillon said after receiving the grant award.

“Every student who has attended BSM has told me that it was an absolutely amazing mathematics experience, and I am looking forward to the opportunity. Thank you.”

The foundation manages over 30 scholarship programs on behalf of donors who are invested in the educational success of students in the region.
