Newport resident is injured in crash

OLDTOWN — A Newport resident suffered non-lifethreatening injuries after Idaho State Police say she pulled out in front of another vehicle late Sunday morning.
ISP said Jean Norris, 65, was driving a 1994 Dodge Caravan and made a left turn from the northwide of Highway 2 at milepost 0.8 from a fuel stattion, pulling in front of 2007 Kia Spectra driving by April Stamos, 29, of Coeur d’Alene, who was westbound in the highway.The two vehicle collided, ISP said in a press release.
Norris was transported to Newport Community Hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries. Stamos refused medical treatment.
Both Norris and Stamos were wearing seatbelts, ISP said.
An investigation is ongoing.
