Hook a Kid on Golf raises over $3,000

The tournament followed two weeks of instructions from the Sandpoint Elks Golf Course crew, consisting of Russ Brisboy, Mike Keough and Steve Erickson plus the help of Mary Stevens who helped with organization.

With the donations by the Leen family and sponsors, $3,000 was raised and will help the Hook a Kid on Golf program to continue.

The Leen family would like to thank The Festival at Sandpoint, Litehouse, Trinity at City Beach, Hydra Steakhouse, Second Avenue Pizza, Laughing Dog Brewery, Huckleberry Lanes and Finan McDonald for supporting the youth golf porgram. They would also like to thank not only the sponsors Roope’s Southeast Alaska Fly Fishing, Karen Piubeni, Mary Stevens and Dan Hull; but also organizers Dan Hull, Mary Stevens, Sonja Brisboy, Kendra Keil, Karen Piubeni, Wes Leen and Brian Porter. Lastly, they would like to give a huge thank you to Russ Brisboy for providing the lessons and helping with the event.
