Rep. Boyle elected WLFTF chairman

| August 21, 2019 1:00 AM

Idaho House Republican Caucus member Representative Judy Boyle is the new chairperson of the Western Legislative Forestry Task Force. Rep. Boyle was elected at the group’s annual meeting in the Sandpoint area.

“I am honored to be the new Chairman of the WLFTF, and I am getting right to work,” said Rep. Boyle. “The poor health of our federal forests is creating massive fires that are putting lives, homes, and livelihoods at risk. But, in Idaho, we’re leaders in Good Neighbor Authority and Shared Stewardship forest management which can quickly move the needle on federal forest health.”

WLFTF helps promote sound forest practices and solve complex forestry issues with individuals that have a western forestry background.

The task force is comprised of Western state senators and state representatives. Its members advocate for cooperative action on forestry and related resource matters.

Boyle’s term is 2019–2020.
