After God's Heart sets Sept. 4 start

After God’s Heart, a community Bible study for women, will begins its study of the The Revelation of Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2018. All women are welcome. The group alternates each year between the Old Testament and New Testament.

This year’s study is a trip that will take participants to the end of the history of the world as the Lord Jesus Christ returns to make all things right in our messed up world. In Revelation 1:19, the Lord gave the apostle John very special instructions saying: Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall take place after this. It’s a simple outline for this book. And this is just what he did.

Out of all 66 books in our Bibles, this is the only one promising a special blessing. Revelation 1:3 says: Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those thing which are written in it; for the time is near.

God’s attributes are clearly seen throughout this book as He reveals Himself to us, helping us to know Him. The more we know Him the more we will worship Him.

But most of all, this book will reveal Jesus Christ in all his glory for the great things He has done. His death on the cross has made it possible for all who believe to have eternal life. Revelation will show us what that life will be like.

After God’s Heart is led by women from various churches, who believe it is a blessing for them to meet together “in one accord” to study God’s inerrant Word. This women’s Bible Study has been an on-going study in the community for the last 28 years. We encourage old and new members to join us in worship, fellowship and Bible study.

After God’s Heart meets on Wednesdays, 9-11 a.m., at North Summit Church, 201 N. Division. We are now meeting in the old South Building so enter through the front on Division. We break from Thanksgiving to New Years and we will conclude this study at the end of April. There is free child care for children from birth to kindergarten. Cost for the year’s materials is $15 and scholarships are available. Coffee is hot at 8:30 a.m.
