Government can't be trusted or allowed more self-approved authoirty

| August 25, 2019 1:00 AM

When you run for office and the job pays $52,000, which is a whole lot more than the majority makes in this area, you either accept that’s the pay or you stay home.

You don’t take the job and then use a consultant paid for by the public to give yourself* an approximately eighty percent raise in five years and excuse the exploit with “it wasn’t taken not “given” over a period of time and its comparable. This isn’t Kootenai County and this isn’t Boundary County, it’s Bonner, and the pay was $52,000, not oh well when we get into office we’ll just give ourselves more of the public’s money. If you don’t like the pay, move along.

This all points to the monster in the room. And that is government can neither be trusted and that government cannot be allowed to vote themselves more authority, ever. And by the way, our property taxes will go up, now, if we allow the commissioners to stay in office. The position pays $52,000, and the application process is open.
