Valerie Anne (Johnson) Moriset

Valerie Anne Moriset (nee Johnson) died on the nineteenth of August 2019. She suffered with congestive heart failure the past three years and died peacefully in her sleep.

She was born on June 7, 1953, at the military hospital on Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, Marianas Islands.

She graduated from Pueblo High School in Tucson, Arizona in 1971. She married Dennis W. Moriset on November 25, 1971 They were married for 48 years. Dennis and Valerie were stationed at Norton AFB in 1971, Davis Monthan AFB in 1973, Hill AFB in 1976, Alexandria AFB in 1978, Nellis AFB in 1981, and Misawa AFB in 1990. Dennis retired in 1994, after 22 years of service. Valerie always said that she served in the Air Force with Dennis. Both Dennis and Valerie were proud of their years of service.

Valerie moved to Sagle in 2014. She and Dennis loved the five acres they have just off of Dufort Road.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by eight siblings from her blended family. She also leaves behind her husband, Dennis; their sons, Jason (Angel), and Joel (Danielle); and daughter, Stephanie Justen (Kenneth). She also leaves behind four grandchildren and one great-grandchild (on the way). Also, among those left behind are her church family from New Song Bible Church.

Valerie’s memorial service will be held on August 31, starting at 2 p.m. at New Song Bible Church, 470250 Highway 95, Sagle, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the food bank of your choice in Valerie’s name.
