Ida M. Silva, 90

Ida M. Silva, 90, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services have been held.

Ida was born on October 12, 1928 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Charles and Edna Noakes. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15, and graduated from Roosevelt High School.

She married Robert Mooney on October 12, 1946 in Los Angeles. They made their home in Pico Rivera and later Downey, California, where they raised two sons. Robert passed away in 1984.

Ida married Daniel Silva in 1991 in Morongo Valley, California, where they built a house together. Daniel passed away in 2000. Ida Moved to Palm Springs into a smaller, more manageable, house. She moved to Sandpoint in 2018 to be closer to family.

Ida loved to sing and enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adalines. She also enjoyed reading and dancing.

She is survived by her son ,Larry Mooney (Marleigh Kopas) of Sandpoint; one brother, Charles (Anola) Noakes of Greenbrier, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Linda Mooney of West Covina, California; five grandsons, Robert Mooney, Brandon Mooney, Dallas Chapman, Gabriel Avila-Mooney, and Liam Mooney; four great-grandchildren, Nolan, Beni, Maeva, and Frankie.
