Wampus Cats can't hold off Spartans, lose third straight

The Wampus Cats took a 32-30 lead into halftime but Priest River battled back to capture a 66-58 victory Thursday night.

After winning its season opener, Clark Fork has now lost three straight.

Heath Beason was proud of the heart his players showed.

“One of the best games I’ve ever seen or been involved with,” he wrote in a text. “We came together and clicked on all cylinders.”

Senior Josh Constantin had 20 points and junior Cameron Garcia added 18.

Clark Fork (1-3) heads to Lakeside 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
