Christmas Bird Count announced

SANDPOINT — Whether you are an expert or novice birder, you’re invited to take part in the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count on Saturday.

Participants will meet at 5th Ave. Restaurant at 6:30 a.m. to assign groups for a day of birding in the greater Sandpoint area. The count ends around 4 p.m. It will take place mostly in vehicles, but plan to be outside a bit. Bring binoculars and food for yourself. All levels of birders are welcome.
