Lifetree discusses the spirit of Santa Claus

| December 20, 2019 12:00 AM

The joy, kindness, and love behind Santa Claus will be examined at Lifetree Café on Monday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m.

The program, titled “The Spirit of Santa: The Legend, the Love, the Lowdown,” features a filmed interview with Mark and Teresa McGraw, a couple who professionally play the roles of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

During the interview, the McGraws explain that they don the costumes and personalities as a way to bring joy to those around them, particularly kids.

“We both just love children so much,” says Teresa. “We reach out to them because we know that not all children out there are loved. Not all of them get gifts or have homes. If we can just be a sparkle in their Christmas, that’s great.”

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café meets at Jalapeno’s Mexican Restaurant, 314 N. Second Ave., Sandpoint, Idaho.

Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to stan@followcommunity.org or 208-304-6465.
