Known globally, coming down from the north, and bearing gifts, “America’s veterinarian” Dr. Marty Becker had some things in common with Santa on Tuesday, Dec. 20, when he and his family visited Panhandle Animal Shelter. Not only did the Beckers bring gifts, they also gave their time and attention to all the animals on an individual basis. Staff and volunteers were joyfully in attendance as the visitors ... well ... visited with shelter residents.

The spirit of care and giving that Dr. Becker and his family exhibited at PAS will no doubt inspire others to share their love and homes with shelter animals. The gift of a home is sure to be reciprocated with unconditional love and joy that will last for years to come.
