SAR holds 29th annual charity golf tournament

| July 5, 2019 1:00 AM

The 2019 Annual Selkirk REALTORS Charity Golf Tournament took place on Friday, June 21 at the Idaho Club Golf Resort and has been the best yet in raising funds for the Selkirk Association of REALTORS’s grants and scholarships program.

With the maximum number of teams participating this year, it couldn’t have been a better day — with the exception of more sun and less intermittent drizzles.

Aside from hitting 18 holes, the 29th edition of the fundraiser featured games and prizes sponsored by affiliate and sponsor members. Raffle tickets for prizes such as a beach cruiser, a Traeger grill/smoker, inflatable water toys, gift certificates to area restaurants, a wheelbarrow full of “spirits” and well as activity and entertainment gift certificates from area businesses were available.

And, due to Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s donation, a live-auction of a chair from Snow Ghost took place, with contributions from that also going to the program.

Each year, the Selkirk Association of REALTORS award thousands of dollars to area high school seniors, college students and local area community service organizations through its grants and scholarships program. The annual golf tournament is not only the main fundraiser for the program, but also a networking tool for members and the public.

The Selkirk Association of REALTORS would like to thank the area businesses and individuals that contributed prizes, time, food and other services to the tournament.
