Bridges Home in concert at Circle Moon

| July 17, 2019 1:00 AM

NEWPORT — Do you love the sound of soaring vocal harmonies over richly textured instruments? Do the music of Celtic harp, the rhythm of old-time banjo or the funky feel of Delta blues stir your soul?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, make reservations now for one of the dinner concerts at the Circle Moon Theater, near Newport, Wash., when the musical duo Bridges Home takes the stage for a memorable evening of live music sponsored by Northwoods Performing Arts. Two dinner shows are available for July 26 and 27.

Bridges Home is Tami Belzer Gunter and Dave Gunter – dual lead vocalists, and multi-instrumentalists who joyfully share their love of music as they take audiences on a delightful journey through styles that include Celtic, Americana, Roots and Originals.

Their concerts feature an engaging blend that ranges from upbeat numbers that make you feel like you’ve just walked into the friendliest pub ever to hauntingly beautiful ballads and finely crafted instrumental duets.

The music of Bridges Home sparkles with intricately woven vocal harmonies, accompanied by Celtic harp, ukulele, clawhammer-style banjo, mandolin and octave mandolin, Irish whistles, accordion, bodhran, cigar box guitar, resonator guitar and foot percussion.

The duo has been featured at several music festivals, including Northwest Folklife in Seattle, The Festival at Sandpoint, the Libby Irish Fair, the Mountain Music Festival at Schweitzer Mountain Resort and the Fall Folk Festival in Spokane. Other concert appearances have taken them to the stages of venues such as the Panida Theater in Sandpoint, the Pearl Theater in Bonners Ferry and the Harrington Opera House in Harrington, Wash.

There will be two separate dinner concert events, scheduled for Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27.

Tickets for either of the dinner concerts are $25 for dinner and show, or $12 adults, $10 seniors for the show only, available at online at NorthwoodsPerforming Arts.com by calling 208-448-1294 or at Seebers Drug in Newport, Wash.

A sirloin tip dinner catered by the Country Snack Shack will be served at 6:30 p.m. both evenings and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Circle Moon Theater is located at 3645 Highway 211, just north of Highway 2 and a few minutes west of Newport.
