The NI Lakers U19 (17-6-1) will be hosting for the second year in a row the 2019 Area A District Championships. The Lakers will be entering the tournament as the 2-seed following a defeat this past weekend vs.. rivals Moscow Blue Devils (19-5).
The Lakers will kick off the tournament against the 7-seed Orofino Merchants on Thursday at 4 p.m. at War Memorial Field.
Also competing in Districts in Spokane this weekend are our NI Lakers 17U Juniors. AA squad. The 17U Lakers will enter the tournament as the National Division 2-seed with a 16-4 record in league play. The Lakers will face of against Gonzaga Prep on Thursday. Game time is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. at Gonzaga Prep High School.
