Scott Wemple Memorial Golf Tournament tees off

| July 30, 2019 1:00 AM

North Idaho CASA is holding its eighth-annual Scott Wemple Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, Aug. 2, at the Avondale Golf Club in Hayden.

Proceeds from the tournament, which is one of four of CASA’s major fundraisers, will go towards not only child neglect victims, but also to the Scott Wemple Memorial Scholarship Fund at North Idaho College; the latter is a scholarship fund for athletes on the Cardinals’ golf teams.

There are only three team slots available, so quick action is recommended.

Check-in for the tournament starts at noon, then the tournament begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

The cost for a team of four (with a sponsorship) is $300, while the cost for a team without a sponsorship is $400. The cost for an individual is $100. Both admissions charges include carts and a dinner after the event.

The dinner afterwards will feature games, prizes and several raffles.

CASA is still accepting raffle donations— such as gift baskets or larger items, plus around 100 smaller items for the event’s swag bags — until Wed, July 31.

In addition, hole sponsorships are still available, which cost $200 apiece. Proceeds from sponsorships will also go towards aid for local child victims of abuse or neglect.
