Donald Edwin Fiedler, 82

Donald Edwin Fiedler, 82, of Oldtown, Idaho, succumbed to cancer on December 8, 2018, with his loving wife by his side.

Donald is preceded in death by his father, Howard; his mother, Florence; his brother, Howard; and his sisters, Doris and Geraldine.

Donald is survived by his loving wife Iris of 61 years; sons Wayne, Allen, and Joe; brother Gene; sister Carol; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Donald was born to Howard and Florence Fiedler in 1936. On Feb. 15, 1957, Donald married Iris Follmer and together raised their three sons.

Donald had many jobs throughout his years including log truck driver, chief of police, Idaho State patrolman and owner of Fiedler Oil Company and Fiedler Fast Stop.

Donald was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and snowmobiles. He was also a great boxer all throughout his high school years.

Services will be held on Saturday Aug. 3, 2019, at 11 a.m., at the Priest River Event Center.
