Missing boy found safe after search

SANDPOINT — A Bonner County 12-year-old who was reported missing on Tuesday was found safe by the day’s end, according to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office put out an electronic notification shortly before 1 p.m. asking the public to be on the lookout for the boy, who was last seen between Selle and Bronx roads. The office put out a follow-up Nixle notification shortly before 7 p.m. indicating that the boy and had been found and thanked the public for their efforts.

Spokane television station KXLY reported that the boy wandered away from home without his parents’ knowledge and was reportedly seen several times popping in and out of the woods at several locations.
