Summer Sampler set to sizzle

SANDPOINT — On Thursday, the annual taste treat that is the Summer Sampler will have the town sizzling.

The Summer Sampler, which will be held in Farmin Park from 5-8 p.m., brings Sandpoint’s finest restaurants and caterers to a central location in downtown Sandpoint, where the town comes out to nibble their way through the finest tasty treats our community has to offer.

In addition to great food, there will be great music with Devon Wade, giveaways, and more.

The annual event, which will be held at Farmin Park, is regarded as the unofficial local kick-off to summer by showcasing Sandpoint’s favorite restaurants and featuring award-winning breweries, winery and distillery. It’s a chance for locals and residents alike to discover the rich flavors of many of Sandpoint’s finest eateries, enjoy some great music and have a chance to win tickets to concerts at this summer’s Festival at Sandpoint, which runs Aug. 1-11.

Participating restaurants and drink establishments include Eichardt’s Pub Grill & Coffee House, Ivano’s Restaurant, Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant, Laughing Dog Brewing, Litehouse Foods, MickDuff’s Brewing Co., Pack River Store, Panhandle Cone & Coffee, Pend d’Oreille Winery, Skeyes The Limit Catering, Sweet Lou’s, The Fat Pig, Trinity at City Beach, and Uptown Bagel Co.

The chamber will be serving water and Evan’s Brothers coffee.

As always, the family-friendly event is free to attend. Tickets for food and beverage samples are on sale at the event for $1 each. The samples range from $3 to $7.

The event is sponsored by Litehouse Foods, Blue Sky Broadcasting, and the Bonner County Daily Bee.
