Dustin W. Simpson, 35, of Newport, Washington, was arrested as a fugitive from justice in the Highway 2 area in Oldtown at 2:05 a.m. on an outstanding Washington felony warrant.
SANDPOINT POLICE
June 23
A stolen vehicle was reported recovered in the W. Lake Street area at 6:20 a.m.
Officers checked a building in the 800 block of Hickory Street after an open door was reported at 8:51 a.m.; nothing appeared disturbed and no one was inside.
An officer advised at 11:20 a.m. that a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Spruce Street and NorthDivision Avenue was unfounded.
An officer was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary in the 800 block of Washington Avenue after a possible gun shot was heard at 11:22 a.m.
Accidental 911 activation as reported on Cedar Street at 3:49 p.m.
A follow-up report was taken in the area of NorthDivision Avenue and Cedar Street at 4:25 p.m.
After an alarm was reported in the 400 block of Church Street at 4:41 p.m., officers advised that no signs of entry were found.
A case was assigned to cover a report of information on South Ella Avenue at 9:55 p.m.
Residents in the 1300 block of Kinnikinnik Avenue were asked to keep the noise down at 11:43 p.m.
A 15-year-old Sandpoint male was cited in the 100 block of North Ella Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia at 11:58 p.m.

An officer checked on a male in the 1500 block after a welfare check request at 2:18 a.m. and advised the individual was fine.

An officer responded to a reported alarm on Bonner Mall Way at 8:37 a.m.
An officer responded to a report of an unsecured building in the Triangle Drive area at 1:07 p.m.
An officer assisted a citizen on Kootenai Cutoff Road at 1:30 p.m.
An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver on Kootenai Cutoff road at 3:55 p.m.
An officer assisted Sandpoint Police in the 400 block of Church Street at 4:41 p.m.
PRIEST RIVER POLICE
June 23
An officer responded for a welfare check on E. Jackson Avenue at 8:08 a.m.
A follow-up report was taken on James Avenue at 2:58 p.m.
An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver in the area of Highway 41 and Old Priest River Road near Oldtown at 4:10 p.m.
William H. Washburn, 61, of Priest River was arrested in the Highway 57 area at 5:39 p.m. on a charge of driving under the influence.
A follow-up report was taken on W. Jackson Avenue at 10:41 p.m.
