I seriously challenge anyone thinking raising salaries and benefits for teachers does not directly benefit our children to think again.

The most important person, responsible for a child’s education at school is the teacher.

Think about it. If you go into a store and the clerk does not know much about the merchandise, how you can use it, or how having it will be of benefit to you, you will lose interest and leave the store.

When you go into a school, the teacher in the classroom is the most important person responsible for the student’s education. It is vitally important we all understand we must support, retain and be able to recruit excellent teachers.

Vote yes for the school levy on March 12.
