Join me in voting yes for the supplemental instructional levy on March 12. I believe in continuing to have quality education delivered by highly effective educators. I believe in students continuing to receive their education in decent class sizes. I believe in students continuing to have the technology, all curricular materials and professional development they require. I believe in continuing to have academic and extracurricular activities to ensure well-rounded individuals. Why risk interruption of our current processes … Do you really want to take a step backwards?

In honor of my four grandchildren, who live in Bonner County, I will go the extra mile, be their inspiration and vote yes on March 12 for the levy. I want my grandchildren to move forward with the solid education currently being delivered in by their dedicated educators in the Lake Pend Oreille School District.

It always seems impossible until it’s done. Let’s ensure a passport to the future — let’s prepare for tomorrow today. Let’s do this.
