PIN-HEADED POLITICS

Congress’s adjournment without passing many needed acts of legislation to keep the country going was an expression of pin-headed politics and will strike no responsive chord with the country. It appears the leaders of neither party are at fault for the fiasco but that it was the act of a few obstructionists in both parties acting without counsel of their party leaders.

President Wilson may have been at fault for the condition of mind, but the country itself had done nothing to warrant such contempt from its servants in the senate, and congress should not forget that its members are elected as the representatives of the people and not as rulers over a president.

NEWS FROM BUNGALOW

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Hoss was the scene of a pleasant surprise party in honor of our former teacher, Miss Reed. Covers for 24 were laid and a fine New England dinner was served by the hostess. Miss Reed was given a thermos bottle as a remembrance of Bungalow’s schoolchildren.

We experienced another eastern blizzard Saturday, the snow banking and drifting several feet in some places, greatly retarding travel.
