Don Valliere of Hope, Idaho, passed away in his home on Feb 27, 2019. Don was born November 8, 1946, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Gerald and Irene Valliere.

Don first moved to California where he grew to love adventure and hiking in Yosemite. He had a free spirit and a passion for thrill.

He moved to Idaho in 1978 where he worked as a logger until the early 1980s. He started working as an electrician in Sandpoint after that, last working at Clawson Electric for his son, Casey Valliere.

Don lived on his houseboat on Lake Pend Oreille, moored in Hope at Kramer’s Marina.

Don was a great friend and an extremely proud father and grandfather. He will be missed by many. He enjoyed spending time on the lake with friends and family and watching his favorite sports teams from his home state of Massa-chusetts to include the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox.

He is survived by his sister, Sharon Valliere-Cote’ of Methuen, Massachusetts; and his two sons, Casey Valliere and wife Michelle of Clark Fork, Idaho, and Nick Valliere and wife Lisa of Hayden, Idaho; along with four grandchildren, Aleehia, Paige, Alivia and Max Valliere. He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

The family will be hosting a celebration of Don’s life in June.
