Anneliese 'Anni' Havlicek, 66

Anneliese “Anni” Havlicek, 66, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

The vigil/rosary prayers will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. The funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 21, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Father Dennis C. Day will be officiating and burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Anni was born in Linz, Austria, on July 28, 1952, the daughter of Anton and Barbara Havlicek. She immigrated, with her parents, to America on May 9, 1955. She would grow up in Sandpoint, attend local schools, and graduate from Sandpoint High School in 1970. She was able to visit Romania in 1979 and meet family still in that area. Her mother, Barbara, spent five years in a Russian hard labor camp during World War II.

She liked to garden, especially raising flowers. She had a passion for animals, liked to feed the squirrels and enjoyed collecting coffee mugs.

She is survived by her brother, John Havlicek of Sandpoint, Idaho, and by her cousins still living in Romania.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
