Citizen of the Year news is delayed

| March 20, 2019 1:00 AM

Due to scheduling circumstances, the Citizen of the Year will not be announced Tuesday, March 26, as originally planned but instead will take place at a later date.

The award was originally planned to take part as part of Meet Priest River, an annual event which gives the region’s residents a chance to learn more about what is going on in the community as well as local businesses, non-profit groups and local events.

The free event, hosted by the Priest River Chamber of Commerce, will feature information about local businesses, non-profits and events. Groups, business leaders and non-profits are encouraged to sign up to reserve up a table to share their information with the community.

Hosted by Priest River Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Priest River Junior High School, 1020 Highway 2, in the gymnasium.
