Judith Malin Waring, 88

Judith Malin Waring, 88, died on Thursday, March 14, 2019, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Judith was a devoted mother, an accomplished cook, seamstress and writer. She had many friends, young and old, who appreciated her candor and her humor.

Judith was born in Bellefonte, Pa., in 1930. The family moved to Fairfield, Conn., after the death of her father when Judith was 11. She attended the University of Connecticut, worked at Yale Medical school after graduation, and there met her husband, Robert K. Waring Jr. (deceased 2011). The couple moved to Wilm-ington, Del., where Robert worked for DuPont. After his retirement Judith and Bob moved from Wilm-ington, spending 10 enjoyable years in each of these places: Downingtown, Pa., Sandpoint, Idaho, and Baltimore Md.

Judith is survived by her four children: Sarah Waring Mohan of Rockville, Md., Rebecca Waring of Baltimore, Adam Waring (m. Don Cummings) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ann Waring Faggard of Sandpoint. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Elisabeth Faggard of Sandpoint, Nathan Faggard, currently in college at Montana State, Rose Mohan of Sebastapol, Calif., Susannah Mohan of Baltimore, Md., and Will Mohan of Rockville, Md.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, April 7, from 1-4 p.m. at The Delaware Center for Horticulture, 1810 North DuPont Street, Wilmington, DE 19806.
