(Courtesy Photo) Selkirk Fire, Rescue and EMS Engineer Clint Frank and Fire Commissioner Allo Pucci are pictured at the top of Seattle’s Columbia Center during the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb on March 10. Selkirk sent 10 team members to the challenge, raising a total of $7,709 to help find a cure for blood cancer. Overall, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raised $2.73 million this year from the event. In its 28th year, it is the largest firefighter stairclimb challenge in the world, raising $17 million for LLS. The Selkirk team did well, finishing 13th out of a 160 teams . The top 5 males for the team were Gwen Le Tutour (13:36 , 22 overall); Clint Frank (14:48, 63 overall); Britian Whitley (15:59, 136 overall); Allo Pucci (17:12, 265 overall); and Connor Robinson (17:28, 304 overall). The top female was Tennille Toussaint (20:05, 707 overall). The event had 2,000 firefighters participating this year with 1,925 finishing the 69 story climb.
