KELLOGG — The Priest River track team was able to breakthrough and make some noise at the Booster Invitational at Kellogg High this past Saturday.

The boys secured third with 78 team points and the girls took home fourth out of 10 teams with 71 points.

"What a great showing for the Spartans," head coach Jared Hughes said. "This meet had several smaller schools more our size which allowed us to be very competitive."

Allyson Barton had quite the day for the Spartans. The freshman placed first in the girls discus with a personal record toss of 103 feet, 11 inches, and was third in the triple jump.

Barton also teamed up with Elisheva Davis, Annika Rantala and Allyson Dickinson to capture second in the 4x100 relay.
