DEER PARK, Wash. — The 12U Sandpoint All-Stars went 5-0 to claim the Settler's Day Wood Bat Tournament title on July 23-25 in Deer Park, Washington.

The tourney wrapped up their season.

"The credit goes to all of the players," coach John Aexel said. "They played hard and aggressive and put the pressure on their opponents in every game with everyone contributing and having fun."

Sandpoint came out with intensity and maintained it throughout the entire tournament, Aexel said. Solid pitching and defense along with an explosive offense carried the team to wins over Chewelah, West Plains, Brewster and Okanogan. They cruised past Brewster in the championship game 11-0.

Payton Fisher smashed two home runs in the tournament.
