Information sought on Priest River area wildfires

State and local investigators are seeking information on new wildfires reported this week in the Priest River area.

The fires, which emerged in the area of Dufort and Eastside roads near Priest River, are being investigated by the Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office, Idaho Department of Lands and Bonner County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators ask anyone with information relating to these fires, such as having witnessed a vehicle, people, or suspicious activity in that area during the week of Aug. 2 to contact the sheriff's office at 208-265-5525.
