SANDPOINT — The second phase of Bonner General Health’s parking lot project begins Aug. 16 with a projected completion date of Sept. 10.

The first phase of replacing the front parking lot at Bonner General Health is completed. The project is implemented in two phases so services could still be provided, said Kristin Carlson, marketing specialist at Bonner General Health.

The north portion will be open for patient parking as construction switches to the south portion of the parking area, Carlson said. Traffic will enter the south entrance and exit out the north exit. Overflow parking will be available in the employee lot directly across from the construction area.

“Parking spaces will be temporarily marked in the new portion of the lot, with permanent marking completed at the end of the project,” said Carlson.

“There will be traffic and parking impacts and elevated noise levels throughout the project. Again, we thank you for your continued patience through this process,” Bonner General Health officials said in a press release.

Due to construction, Saturday’s outpatient lab will be closed beginning Saturday, Aug. 14, until further notice. The lab will continue regular business hours Monday to Friday.

Bonner General Health is a 25-bed critical access hospital and healthcare network of outpatient clinics and services serving Sandpoint and the surrounding region.
