NFL's playing of anthem is the last straw

Before moving to Sandpoint 22 years ago, I was a big fan of NFL football and a season ticket holder for the San Francisco 49ers when they actually played in San Francisco at Candlestick Park. I went to every home game and all of the Super Bowls that the 49ers played. In fact I still have my 49ers jacket and other 49er clothing. But now the NFL has lost me as a fan.

I didn’t like some of those players taking a knee when the national anthem was played but now the NFL is playing a Black national anthem after the United States of America national anthem before every game. I didn’t even know there was a Black national anthem. So I’m done.

Being Irish, I am going to write an Irish national anthem and have my Mexican friend write a Latino national anthem and another Chinese friend write an asian national anthem and send those to the NFL commissioner and demand the NFL play those national anthems along with the Black national anthem before every NFL game.
