Re: seat belts on school buses.

I speak from twenty years experience.

There are all kinds of students riding a bus. There is usually at least one with the attitude of "It is my body and no one can tell me what to do with it." (Learned at home).

If I were to drive again and had a bus with seat belts I would require the parent to sign a document relying me of any responsibility of injury to a student in case of accident where an injury was attributed to the seat belt not being fastened. Without such a document I would not drive.

There are ways to approach the problem, but they will be costly, very difficult to administer and probably not effective.
