Aug. 26, 1971 – FAIR OPENS IN NEW HOME
The annual Bonner County Fair opens today, Friday and Saturday at the new fairground three miles north of Sandpoint on Boyer. FFA, 4-H and open class exhibitors began bringing in their animals and exhibits last night. The new fair complex is spacious and roomy, but not quite as convenient to the downtown area as was the former fairground. How this will affect attendance remains to be seen.

Fruits and root crops were undamaged.

“FALL IN, COUNT OFF”
To aid the Elks in providing the proper touch to the spirit of American Legion day on Thursday of their three-day home-coming celebration, the local Post asks every ex-service man in the county, Legion member or not, to report at Legion headquarters Thursday at 9:30 a.m. to join in the big parade. All the boys are urgently asked to wear their uniforms and help make the occasion all it should be.
