Join list of influential Americans getting the COVID vaccine

Pelé, Dolly Parton, the Dalai Lama, former President Donald Trump, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky; Rep. Steve Scalise, R-Louisiana, No. 2 House Republican; Sean Hannity, Fox News; and President Joe Biden. What do they have in common? Everyone on this list of influential Americans wants us to get vaccinated against COVID.

In Bonner County, as of August 21, 16,998 people (37.2%) have taken the step to protect themselves and others and have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Anybody who is at least 12 years old is eligible to be vaccinated. It’s far safer to get the vaccine (bit.ly/3zsLoyD) than it is to get sick with COVID (there have been 128 deaths per 100,000 in Idaho during the week of Aug. 14)(wb.md/3mI0lcw)

Please, please, please — if you haven’t been vaccinated talk to your medical provider or call the Panhandle Health District (208-263-5159), Walmart or Safeway to receive a free vaccine. You will protecting yourself and the rest of your community.
