Food insecurity is a critical issue

Food insecurity is a critical issue in our country and our own community. People may ask the question, “What can I do to help?”

We are fortunate that in Bonner County we have a dedicated group of people who work and volunteer at Bonner Community Food Bank, both in Sandpoint and Priest River. They need our help to continue to provide needed items for struggling families. Many of us are receiving checks as part of the COVID Relief Bill. If you are a recipient that has the means and the heart to do so, consider donating all or part of these funds to the local food banks. Each of us can make a difference and be part of the solution so that no child goes hungry in our community.
